Set up channel locks
You can hold a channel or a group behind a PIN, and hide groups you do not want in the way.
1. Lock a single channel
Section titled “1. Lock a single channel”Right-click a channel, choose Require PIN, and turn on Require PIN before tuning. Viewers must enter the PIN before the channel plays, from the channel list, the guide, or the multiview picker. Use Change PIN or Remove PIN on the channel to adjust it later.
2. Lock a whole group
Section titled “2. Lock a whole group”In the groups pane, open a group’s options and choose Set PIN. A locked group shows a lock badge, and its schedule stays hidden until you Unlock it.
3. Hide groups you never watch
Section titled “3. Hide groups you never watch”There is no per-channel hide. To remove clutter, open Filters in Live TV, which opens Hide channel groups, and turn off the groups or languages you do not want. Choose Apply; the choice syncs to your other devices. A group’s own options also have a Hide command.
For a child’s profile instead
Section titled “For a child’s profile instead”To cap what a child can reach by content rating rather than by hiding single channels, use a kid profile. Set up profiles and parental controls covers that.
