Install the app on Xbox
The console app installs from the Microsoft Store and nowhere else. There is no download to run, no developer mode, and nothing to copy across.
1. Install from the Microsoft Store
Section titled “1. Install from the Microsoft Store”On the console open the Microsoft Store, search for My TV Player under apps rather than games, and choose Install. It runs on Xbox Series S and Series X.
The console app is in beta. It changes faster than the Windows app, and if you report a problem from it, say which console it is on: it changes what we look at first.
2. Have an account and a source ready
Section titled “2. Have an account and a source ready”The console cannot create an account and cannot take a source, because both mean typing. If you do not have them yet, do this before opening the app, on any device with a keyboard:
- Create the account at mytvplayer.app, or in the Windows app.
- Add a source: in the web console open Import & sync and add a playlist file, a playlist address, an Xtream Codes portal or a Stalker portal. Add a playlist or portal covers the fields each kind asks for.
Ways to set up compares every route, including doing the whole thing on Windows first.
3. Open the app and sign in with a code
Section titled “3. Open the app and sign in with a code”Accept the disclaimer, then the app shows a QR code, the address mytvplayer.app/pair and an
8-character code. Scan the code with a phone, or open the address anywhere, sign in, and enter the
code. The console signs itself in within seconds and pulls your sources down.
The first time you open the app on Xbox walks through that screen and the short setup after it.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”The Store updates the app, the same way it updates everything else on the console, and there is no update button inside the app. When a version is too old to keep working the app says so on launch, under Update required, and Open Microsoft Store takes you to the listing.
Settings, About shows the installed version. Quote it when you contact support.
Removing the app
Section titled “Removing the app”Uninstall it from My games & apps on the console like any other app. Your account, sources, profiles and preferences live on the account, not on the console, and come back when you sign in anywhere.
To free the device slot the console was holding, open Devices in the web console at mytvplayer.app and remove it there. Uninstalling alone does not release it.
My TV Player is a media player only - we do not provide, sell, or include any channels, streams, or content.
