Set up automatic stream recovery

Sources are not always steady. The app can notice a stalled stream and recover it without you reaching for the remote.

Open the player’s Video settings, choose the Playback tab, and turn on Stream auto-repair. A watchdog then watches playback, and when a stream stalls it reloads it, and reconnects on its own if the connection drops.

Auto-repair can only move to a backup if one exists. When the same channel is available from more than one source, the app fails over between them. Set up an aggregated source is how you give a channel more than one stream to try.

On the same Playback tab, Buffer length decides how much the app reads ahead. A higher value rides out brief drops at the cost of a slower channel change. Raise it if playback stops to catch up often.

If a single stream is delivered slowly by the source, no setting on your side speeds it up. Buffering or stuttering helps you tell a source problem from a local one.
