Check channel and stream health
Questi contenuti non sono ancora disponibili nella tua lingua.
The app scores each channel from how it played for you before, and can show the technical detail of the stream on screen now.
1. Read the health dot
Section titled “1. Read the health dot”Each channel in the list carries a colored dot, scored on this device from your own recent playback:
- Green: worked well the last few times you watched.
- Amber: some issues; it plays, but a source or the stream has failed recently.
- Red: not working; every source failed the last time you tried.
- Grey: not tried yet, so there is no history to score.
A red dot on one channel while others are green points at that stream or source, not your setup.
2. Open the stream information
Section titled “2. Open the stream information”While a channel plays, open Stream information. It shows Resolution, Frame rate, Video codec, Total bitrate, Buffer, Live latency, Dropped frames, Protocol and Server. Rising Dropped frames or a shrinking Buffer is the signature of a stream your connection cannot keep up with.
3. Copy it for support
Section titled “3. Copy it for support”Choose Copy diagnostics in that dialog to put the details on the clipboard, then paste them into a support message. It carries no account password or playlist address.
Choosing a better stream
Section titled “Choosing a better stream”Where a channel offers more than one quality, the Stream quality control on the player lets you pick a lower one that holds up better on a weak connection.
