Multiview plays several live channels side by side in one window: two next to each other, up to a three-by-three grid of nine.
1. Pick a layout and fill it
Section titled “1. Pick a layout and fill it”Choose a layout, then pick a channel for each tile. One tile carries the sound at a time; move the audio between tiles as the action moves, or mute everything at once.
2. Save it as a preset
Section titled “2. Save it as a preset”A filled layout can be saved under a name, “Sunday sports” being the classic. Presets belong to your account and sync, so a preset built at the desk exists on your other devices too.
Why some picks are refused
Section titled “Why some picks are refused”Your source decides how many streams it allows at the same time; that limit is the source’s, not the app’s and not your plan’s. The app counts what each source is already serving and stops you picking a channel that would exceed its limit, because the alternative is a tile that half-loads and fails. Mixing channels from different sources spreads the load and gets you more tiles.
How many streams you can watch at once covers what else uses a connection up, including recordings and your other devices.
The number of tiles your plan allows is on what your plan includes.
Monitors
Section titled “Monitors”Multiview is one window. Put it on whichever display you like; full screen fills the display the window is on.
