What syncs and what stays on one device

Two lists, and the line between them is the same line the whole product is built on: settings follow the account, content never does.

Follows your account

Available on any device you sign in to, and unaffected by uninstalling.

Source definitions	Name, address and credentials. Never the channel list itself
Profiles	Including parental limits, rating caps and PIN locks
Favorites	Channels and titles marked by a profile
Custom groups and channel order	Including hidden groups and channel numbers you set
Reminders	Scheduled program reminders and their delivery settings
Resume points	The position in a movie or episode, per profile
App settings	Appearance, language, playback and program guide preferences
Settings backups	Taken on demand, restorable onto another device

Stays on one device

Held by the device that made it, and lost if that device is wiped.

Recordings	Ordinary video files in the folder you chose. Uninstalling does not delete them
Screenshots	Saved where the app was told to put them
The cached catalog	Each device downloads the channel, movie and series lists from the source itself
Downloaded program guide data	Fetched per device from the addresses the account holds
Diagnostic logs	Exportable by hand, never uploaded on their own
Sign-in state	Each device holds its own session and its own device slot

What a reinstall loses

Nothing in the first table. Everything in the second, except recordings and screenshots, which are files on disk rather than app data, and stay where they are.

What our servers never hold

The channel list, the program guide, and anything that identifies what was played. Favorites and resume points name a channel or a title, because they could not follow you to another device otherwise. Architecture and privacy is the full statement.

Plan note

Account sync runs on paid plans. On the Free plan settings stay on the device that made them. What your plan includes has the detail.
